STEAM Saturdays are the second Saturday of the month. They are free FUN hands-on workshops that explore different areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math! Students will take part in unique activities, plus create take-home projects. The workshops are designed for ages 1 through 10 years old.
Drop in anytime between 10:00 am through 2:00 pm for age-appropriate activities.

Spring Into Bugs
Join us on April 11th for STEAM Saturday as we Spring Into Bugs!
We’re filling the Discovery Center with bug‑themed STEAM stations, sensory bins, and hands‑on activities for ages 1–10.
And if the weather cooperates, we’ll open up the mud kitchen and both outdoor decks for even more springtime exploration and play.
We’re ready to spring into STEAM at the Discovery Center — and we can’t wait to explore with you!

Kids In the kitchen
Join Us for Kids in the Kitchen!
A fun, hands-on cooking class designed just for kids ages 7–12.
In this exciting three-week course, young chefs will:
~ Learn essential kitchen skills like safe knife handling
~ Read and follow recipes
~ Create shopping lists
~ Practice proper food safety
~ Explore table setting basics
~ Build confidence in the kitchen
The class culminates in a special all-kids event: Dine & Dazzle!
Students will prepare a full Italian dinner, set the tables, and serve guests—leading every part of the experience themselves. It’s a unique opportunity to shine, work as a team, and be part of something truly special.
Class Dates:
~ Tuesdays & Thursdays, starting May 12
~ Dine & Dazzle Dinner: Saturday, May 30
~ Location: Cowboy Carousel Center
~ Cost: $65 per student: Includes dinner at every class, apron, knife, recipe binder, and work binder.
